22 year-old #faithkipyegon🏅🇰🇪🇰🇪 from #Kenya who earned a gold in #Rio for winning the 1,500-metre women’s race, just requested for the basic amenity of #electricity in her village that hasn’t had electricity since it was settled in 1980. Unfortunately, no one from her family or village couldn’t even watch her gold-winning performance in Rio.
The government didn’t take much time and took quick measures to provide them electricity. Within nine days, the village got wired completely. When #Kipyegon returned to Kenya, she found out her village had been connected to a power supply. #Samsung has also promised to gift Faith’s father a television set soon so that he never misses another performance by his daughter.
